COLUMBIA CITY – Esther M. Snyder, 79, Warsaw, died at 10:25 p.m. May 3, 2016, at Grace Village where she had been a resident since July 2011. She was born Aug. 7, 1936, in Huntington, to Harry and Emma Rupley Snyder. She attended Clear Creek School and graduated from Bippus High School. She worked at Blue Bell, Warsaw, Peabody ABC, Winona Lake, over 12 years and the American Red Cross in Warsaw for eight years. Her memberships include Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, and she attended Celebration United Methodist Church, Warsaw. Survivors include a son, Brian (and spouse Robin) Snyder; a grandson, Adam (and spouse Stacy) Snyder; three great-granddaughters: Kaytlin, Harley and Baylee Snyder, all of Warsaw; three brothers: Edward Snyder, Huntington; Richard Snyder, Muskegon Mich.; John Snyder, Leesburg; and two sisters, Virginia Doenges, South Whitley, and JoAnn Byers, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Snyder. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery.
