MENTONE – Esther M. Holloway, 74, Mentone, and North Port, Fla., died at 6:46 p.m. Dec. 22, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, after being in failing health since Oct. 14, 2015. She was born July 31, 1941, in Evansville, to Charles and Martha Angel Leonard. On Jan. 1, 1984, in Burket, she married Robert R. Holloway, who survives in Mentone. She worked 25 years at RR Donnelley & Sons, where she was a shipping clerk. She was a 1960 graduate of Elberfeld High School. She was a member of the Red Hats Club and Boat Club of Harbor Isle, Fla., where she wintered for 16 years. She was a NASCAR and classic car enthusiast. She enjoyed shopping, antiques collecting, going to car shows and traveling, especially on their yearly cruise. Also surviving are two daughters, Sherri (and spouse Rick) Nelson, Warsaw, and Vickie Bradley, Mentone; a son, Steve Holloway, Warsaw; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, David Sultz, Newburgh. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Jeff Canary. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at King Memorial Home, Mentone, with the Rev. Amber Karkosky-Litten officiating.
