ROCHESTER – Ester Ruth Collins, 92, formerly of Rochester, died at 11:35 p.m. Nov. 3, 2014, in Marion. She was born May 27, 1922, in Newton, Ill., to Robert and Opal Parker Sylvester. On Dec. 21, 1940, in Oakland, Ill., she married Carl Edward Collins, who died July 30, 1995. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery with Pastor Maurice Grindle officiating. No calling is planned.
