NAPPANEE – Erma Hochstetler, 67, Nappanee, died peacefully in the evening Oct. 1, 2014, at her residence after a battle with cancer.
She was born July 21, 1947, in Goshen to Jacob and Alma Yoder Stoltzfus. On Sept. 19, 1968, she married M. Jay Hochstetler, who survives.
She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Also surviving are four daughters: Waneta (and spouse Steven) Borkholder and Julie (and spouse Edward) Yutzy, both of Nappanee; Carol (and spouse Howard) Kauffman, Lewistown, Mont.; Emily (and spouse Eric) Schmucker, Bremen; two sons, Jeremy Hochstetler, Cromwell and Andy (and spouse Mindi Yoder) Hochstetler, Milford; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Allen (and spouse Katie) Stoltfux, Middlebury; and a sister, Carroll (and spouse Rudy) Hochstetler, Milford. She was preceded in death by her parents and twin sons, Matthew and Marcus.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Borkholder residence. The Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate. Burial is in Weldy Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Burkholder, Wade Yoder, Menno Schwartz, Steve Borkholder, Eli Schwartz and Anthony Miller.
Calling is after 4 p.m. today and all day Friday at the Steven Borkholder residence, 7990 CR 101.
