Eraldo “Eddie” DiRico, 72, passed away at 9:20 p.m. July 6, 2015, at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born Sept. 28, 1942, in Orsogna, Italy, to Pasquale and Maddalena D’Angelo DiRico. On March 20, 1971, in Atwood, he married Genyce Plummer, who survives in Winona Lake. He spent most of his life in Kosciusko County, and he was from Boston, Mass. He was also a paratrooper for the Italian Army. He was a master bricklayer, and he did the stonework for the Biblical Gardens, the brickwork for the College Hall of Fame in South Bend, and the Honeywell Center in Wabash. He also did the brickwork for Warsaw Community High School football stadium. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree and a 40-year member of the Bricklayer Union. Also surviving are: a son, Pasquale Robert (and spouse Patricia) DiRico, Oak Park, Ill.; four grandchildren: Alexandria, Andrea, Lucas and Daniela DiRico; and a brother, Alfredo “Tony” (and spouse Giocanna) DiRico, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by a brother, Nicola DiRico. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, with father Phil DeVolder, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiating. Burial is in Pleasant View Cemetery, Warsaw. Calling is from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw.
