Emogene Carolyn DavisEmogene Carolyn Davis, 93, of Sebring, Fla., and formerly of Syracuse, died May 18, 2011, in her residence. She was born Jan. 8, 1918, in Wakarusa, to Ellis and Frances Searer Eby. She married Donald E. Davis, who died in 1997. She was a member of Church of The Brethren, Syracuse, where she was an organist and pianist and sang in the choir. Surviving are a son, Don Steven (and spouse Marlene) Davis, Sebring and Syracuse; a sister, Marie (and spouse Everett) Tom, Leesburg; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother. Services will be at 11 a.m. June 17 at Wawasee Lake Side Chapel.
