GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Ten students and two faculty members spent a week of cultural immersion over Winter Break overseas as part of Grace Christian University's Study Abroad Program.
Emily Rodriguez, of Warsaw, studying interdisciplinary studies, spent the beginning of 2020 in Ireland. The trip exposed individuals to the cultural and faith history of Ireland, noting the significant Catholic and Protestant conflict and its relevance to Christianity today. Students regularly reported the value of serving and worked for a local church in helping work on the building and grounds.
Grace Christian University's one week of cultural immersion allows students to take three credits of classes that will count towards their degree, while given the opportunity to be fully immersed in a broad range of cultural and professional activities.
