Emery J. Brandenburg, 80, Warsaw, went home to heaven at 2:37 a.m. March 1, 2018, at Chapman Place, Fort Wayne.
He was born to Edna Floor Brandenburg and Emery Brandenburg in Silver Lake on May 26, 1937. He was a 1955 graduate of Silver Lake High School.
Emery was a member of Living Hope Ministries, where he took care of the lawn for 12 years.
He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa.
He is survived by his spouse, Carole; children: Ron (Katrina) Brandenburg, Warsaw; Chad (Barb) Brandenburg, Elkhart; Bambi (Scott) Maggard, North Manchester; Brenda Ayala, Indianapolis; JoAnn (Mike) Ball, Warsaw; and Tammy Brandenburg, Florida; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandkids; and two sisters, Helen Huffman, Columbia City, and Marjorie Ellenberger, Sidney.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Emery retired in 2000 from DePuy, where he was a supervisor. He was inducted into the Kosciusko County Basketball Hall of Fame.
Emery enjoyed doing yard work and playing euchre. He will be lovingly missed by many.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 5, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Living Hope Ministries, Warsaw, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Hedgel Perry will officiate the funeral service. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
