Elwood "J.R." Hall Jr., 51, of Warsaw, died at 3:21 a.m. April 30, 2010, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

He was born Nov. 17, 1958, in Russell County, Ky., to Elwood and Helen Scarberry Hall Sr. He married Dona Hall, who survives in Warsaw.

Living in Warsaw since 1970, he was a cook in food service and formerly worked at Eagles Lodge and Long John Silver's, both in Warsaw.

Also surviving are a life partner, William T. Nipper, Warsaw; two sisters, Deborah (and spouse Douglas) Blanton, Pierceton, and Ellen Dean (and spouse Darrell) Winona Lake; two brothers, Roger Glenn (and spouse Theresa) Hall and Elwood Glenn Hall, all of Jackson, Ohio; stepbrothers and stepsisters: Ann (and spouse Miles) Hull, Peggy (and spouse Lynn) Schaeffer, John Moore, Don (and spouse Kia) Moore, Bob Moore and Jim Moore, all of Mechanicsburg and Carlisle, Pa.; and four stepchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Rena Caddell officiating. Burial will be private.

Calling is two hours prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
