SYRACUSE – Elvira R. DeLacruz, 78, of Larwill, died Oct. 2, 2011, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born May 24, 1933, in Falfurrias, Texas, to Gregorio and Maria Chupa Ramos. She married Carlos DeLacruz Sr., who died in 2003.
She moved to Larwill from Texas in 1964.
Surviving are a son, Fred (and spouse Juli) DeLacruz, Butler; four daughters: Virginia (and spouse Tom) Halsey, Columbia City; Mary (and spouse Richard) Gaerte, Pierceton; Esther Black, Cromwell; and Eloise DeLacruz, Larwill; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lily Puente and Chica Ramos. She was preceded in death by a son.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse. Burial will be at a later date in Salem Cemetery, Wilmot.
