NORTH MANCHESTER - Elva England, 75, of North Manchester, died at 6:30 p.m. April 3, 2007, in his residence.
He was born Aug. 29, 1931, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Malone and Eva Poe England.
He retired from Kimball Glass, Warsaw, where he was a quality control inspector. In 1984, he retired from the U.S. Military after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army and U.S. Army National Guard. He loved his dogs, and enjoyed working on cars and telling stories. He loved to help people.
Surviving are two brothers: Lloyd (and wife Myrtle) England, North Manchester, and Gordon England, Palmetto, Fla. He was preceded in death by a brother, John England.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor Ralph Dotson officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jack Arnett Cemetery, Prestonsburg, Ky., with the Rev. Calvin Setser officiating.
Calling is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
