GOSHEN - Eloise Prough, 88, of Syracuse, and formerly of College Avenue, Goshen, died at 11:40 p.m. Oct. 25, 2007, in Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse.
She was born Nov. 3, 1918, in Goshen, to Imon and Freda Juday Bunger. On March 24, 1940, in Middlebury, she married Herschel Prough, who died Aug. 12, 2001.
She was in purchasing and sales at Kline's Dept. Store, retiring in 1983. She was a member of Plymouth United Church of Christ, Goshen, and attended Goshen High School.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Pat) Welch, Countyside, Ill., and Mrs. Tom (Karen) Stiver, Syracuse; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen, with Pastors Dave Marty and David Herr officiating. Burial will be in Solomon Creek Cemetery.
