NAPPANEE – Eloise Meeks, 92, died at 12:50 a.m.  Oct. 25, 2012, in Heritage House, Nappanee, where she resided.
She was born March 2, 1920, in Goshen, to Frank and Bertha Hoshaw Method. On Dec. 29, 1946, in Nappanee, she married Vern Meeks, who survives.
She grew up in the New Paris and Goshen area. After graduating from New Paris High School, she moved to Hollywood, Calif. After marriage, she lived in the Carolinas, then moved to Nappanee in 1952. She was a member of Nappanee United Methodist Church, the Thursday Club and Daughters of the American Revolution.  
Also surviving are a daughter, Melissa Meeks (and  Harry Stackhouse), Indianapolis; and a sister, Bertha Parker, Nappanee. She was preceded in death by a daughter, three sisters and five brothers.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Nappanee United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Baintertown Cemetery, New Paris.
Calling is from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
