Warsaw Community High School senior Stephanie Ellis has been named a National Merit Scholar and will receive the R.R. Donnelley & Sons merit scholarship.
Ellis is one of 1,100 high school seniors across the United States who will receive a corporate-sponsored merit scholarship. More than 1 million students entered the National Merit Scholar program when they took the PSAT, which serves as an initial screen for the competition.
Ellis is a two-year member of the National Honor Society and has been a member of Mathletes three years. She is a member of the WCHS swimming and diving team, where she was most valuable player three years. She also spent three years with the Summit City diving team and was on the Warsaw gymnastics team.
Ellis plans to study pharmacology at the University of Toledo. She is the daughter of Lynn Feldman and Lanny Ellis, both of Warsaw.
