WABASH – Ellen Marie Paxton, 83, formerly of Wabash, died at 7:15 p.m. April 26, 2013, in Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester. She was born Jan. 20, 1930, at Beaver Dam Lake, to Kenneth Leroy and Edna Victoria Overholt Bowser. On Jan. 31, 1948, she married Harmon W. Paxton, who died Jan. 10, 1991. She retired from General Tire, Wabash, after 37 years. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Wabash. Surviving are two sons, Jack (and spouse Yavonne) Paxton, Wabash, and Larry (and spouse Joanna) Paxton, Huntington; three daughters: Victoria E. (and spouse Mitchell) Campbell, Wabash; Connie (and spouse Jerry) Enyeart, Liberty Mills; and Phyllis Anne Paxton (and Manny Garcia), Andrews; a sister, Phyllis Hines, California; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a grandchild, a brother, a sister and stepsister. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McDonald Funeral Home, Wabash, with the Rev. Phil Lake officiating.
