Ellen HatcherEllen Hatcher, age 79, of Warsaw, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020, at 8:25 p.m. in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
Ellen was born on July 24, 1940, in Milford, to Raymond and Vera Knoop Smith. She was united in marriage to Samuel Hatcher in 1971 in Kosciusko County.
She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. Ellen enjoyed reading the Bible, playing cards, crocheting and visiting with friends and family. She loved spending time with her family, and she was especially fond of her grandchildren in which she dearly loved. Ellen was a member of the Living Hope Ministries Church, Warsaw.
Ellen is survived by children: Melinda (Rodney Eggers) Hodges, of Elkhart; David (Sandy) Hatcher, of Warsaw; Timothy Hatcher, of Warsaw; Melisa (Donald) Stevens, of North Manchester; Mary (Dale) Shepherd, of Yuma, Ariz.; Michelle (Josh Hamman) Hatcher, of Syracuse. In addition, she was survived by 21 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, husband and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at Living Hope Ministries Church, Warsaw. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Living Hope Ministries, Warsaw, with Pastor Lewis Wedstel Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
