Weather conditions contributed to a crash Sunday morning in Elkhart County in which three Nappanee residents suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

An Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office crash news release states Lyndon Yoder, 31, Nappanee, was traveling east in a 2002 Chevy Silverado on CR 50, east of CR 11, when the vehicle went off the north side of CR 50 and overturned. The accident occurred at 8:06 a.m. Sunday.

Lyndon was issued a citation for speeds too fast for weather conditions, the release states.

While Lyndon did not report suffering any injuries, his three passengers did. Abigail Yoder, 31, Nappanee, complained of pain to the neck; Aubrey Yoder, 11, Nappanee, complained of pain to the neck; and Hailey Yoder, 9, Nappanee, suffered abrasions to the arm, the release states. All three were taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment of their non-life-threatening injuries.

Everyone in the Silverado was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
