MILLERSBURG – A Milford man was airlifted to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, while a Syracuse man was transported to IU Health, Goshen, following a Sunday morning accident in Elkhart County. Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department officers responded to the two-vehicle crash on CR 33, 5 miles south of Millersburg, around 2:50 a.m. Sunday. According to an Elkhart County news release, a vehicle driven by Daniel Slone, 21, Milford, was traveling northbound on CR 33 north of CR 50 when his vehicle went left of center and collided with a second vehicle, driven by Stanley Pender, 59, Syracuse. Slone suffered non-incapacitating lower extremity injuries and was airlifted to Parkview Hospital. Pender suffered right wrist and knee pain and was taken via ambulance to IU Health.
