Elizabeth M. "Bette" Anglin, 88, of the Clunette area, died at 1:59 p.m. Oct. 30, 2007, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She was born July 13, 1919, in Rock Island, Ill., to Simon Neal and Emma Buch Mikesell. On Dec. 31, 1941, in Bette's parent's residence, she married John H. "Jack" Anglin, who survives.
She lived most of her life in the Clunette area and was a homemaker. She was a member of Clunette United Methodist Church; an original member of the Kosciusko Community Hospital Board; alumna and past president of Delta Theta Tau Sorority; Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary; O-We-Kon-Za Campfire Girls; Gray Ladies of Kosciusko Community Hospital; and a former member of Bourbon Order of the Eastern Star. She was a tournament Bridge player. She was a 1937 graduate of Warsaw High School and attended Indiana University.
Also surviving are two sons, John H. (and wife Lorraine) Anglin Jr., Warsaw, and Neal I. (and wife Lyn) Anglin, Dodgeville, Wis.; two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Beth) Cooper, Aurora, Ill., and Mrs. Larry (Sarah) Payton, Olive Branch, Miss.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremiah James Anglin, and a cousin, Blaine Mikesell.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. Mike Beezley officiating. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
