LIGONIER - Elizabeth J. Beck, 91, of Ligonier, died of natural causes at 12:45 p.m. June 29, 2010, in Avalon Village, Ligonier.
She was born Dec. 9, 1918, in Ligonier, to James and Lucille Hire Simpson. In October 1940, she married Charlie Beck, who preceded her in death in 2002.
A lifetime area resident, she retired as a school teacher after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of Ligonier United Methodist Church.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two infant children, her parents and a sister, Barbara Spore.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, with Celebrant Larry Baker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
