Elena Lopez, 39, Warsaw, passed away at 11:56 a.m. Dec. 11, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born May 19, 1977, to Tomas and Maria Hernandez Lopez in Apan, Mexico. She married Shawn Ruegner on Aug. 26, 2015, in Warsaw. She is survived by her husband, Shawn Ruegner, Warsaw; her children, Javier Lagunas, Adamary Lopez and Jesus Jacome, all of Warsaw; her brothers and sisters, Rafael, Martin, Tomas, Horacio, Claudia and Esperanza Lopez, all of Apan, Hidalgo; and her parents. She was preceded by her grandparents. She was a member of Warsaw Church of God. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel, with Pastor Tim Kumfer officiating.
