An early morning electrical fire in an attic caused about $50,000 worth of damage Thursday.
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory firefighters responded to 3926 E. Old 30, Warsaw, at 3:08 a.m. Thursday for a report of a possible electrical fire in the attic.
"And that is what we found, is an electrical fire in the attic," Warsaw Battalion Chief Rob Barker said. The fire stayed contained to the attic.
The home is owned by Scott Nieveen and no injuries were reported. All engines were back in service five hours after the call.
Warsaw was assisted by Winona Lake and North Webster fire departments, Lutheran EMS and the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office.
