An election for the Area Barbee Lakes Conservancy District board of directors is Saturday.
The Area 3 seat held by Scott Fox is being challenged by Bill Thompson. Area 1 director Dick Long is running unopposed.
Property owners from the Area 3 district may vote by either absentee ballot or at the Barbee Conservancy Club, CR 700E. The election polling time is from 9 to 10 a.m. The Conservancy also will hold a short business meeting at 9:45 a.m.
Fox is a design and sales engineer at Warsaw Coil Co. and lives on Little Barbee Lake with his family.
Bill Thompson lives on Irish Lake. He is a retired director of engineering materials for Bendix Energy Control Division.
The Area 3 district includes Little Barbee and a small portion of the northwest section of Big Barbee Lake.
