A Silver Lake Town Council member was arrested over the weekend for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Donna G. McCune, 28, of 506 E. Sycamore St., Silver Lake, reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of .124 percent when she was stopped by a Warsaw police officer early Sunday. She was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 2:08 a.m. and later released after posting a $500 bond.
McCune was pulled over near the intersection of Main and Lake streets in Warsaw after allegedly failing to signal a turn. She previously pulled out in front of the officer at Main and Buffalo streets, according to a police report, but then pulled over when she noticed the officer behind her. A traffic stop was not made at that time, but the officer observed the failure to signal after McCune continued on her way.
During the incident, McCune reportedly admitted drinking five or six beers at a local establishment prior to being stopped.
