HOBART - Eleanore A. Reisinger Armontrout, 73, Hobart, formerly of Little Barbee Lake, Warsaw, died April 7, 2009.
She was born March 31, 1936, in Gary, to Virgil and Minnie Marie Reisinger. On June 21, 1969, in Hobart, she married Lafey "Bill" Armontrout, who survives.
She was a 1954 graduate of Hobart and a 1958 graduate of Manchester College. She received a master's degree in education from Indiana University. She taught biology and physical education for more than 33 years for School City of Hobart. She was a former member of the Hobart First United Methodist Church, a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association and a member of the Humane Society and Wild Life Association.
Also surviving are a brother Dr. Eugene (and spouse June) Reisinger, Hobart; and a sister, Elaine (and spouse Robert) Broschart, Crown Point. She was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart, with the Rev. Darrell Schultz officiating. Burial will be at Calumet Park Cemetery.
