NORTH MANCHESTER - Eleanor Miller, 91, of North Manchester, died at 1:53 a.m. Sept. 20, 2008, in Wabash County Hospital.
She was born Nov. 2, 1916, in North Manchester, to Eldo and Ada Humke Gable. On Aug. 9, 1936, in North Manchester, she married Harold D. Miller, who died Feb. 13, 1997.
She was a member of Manchester Church of the Brethren and participated in the sewing circle at the church. She was also a member of Manchester Garden Club.
Surviving are three daughters: Rosemary (and spouse William) Rouch Pletcher, Elkhart; Carol Miller, Fort Wayne; and Joann (and spouse Keith) Miller Wing, Three Rivers, Mich.; a son, Richard (and spouse Altha) Miller, Syracuse; a brother, Donald (and spouse Dorothy) Gable, North Manchester; a half sister, Margaret Ann Lambert, North Manchester; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Bender Chapel, North Manchester, with the Rev. Kurt Borgman officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
