NAPPANEE - Eleanor L. Gonser, 88, formerly of Nappanee, died at 7:20 a.m. Sept. 7, 2007, at Hubbard Hill Estates Assisted Living.
She was born Jan. 4, 1919, in Fort Wayne, to John and Inez Smeltzer Miracle. On June 26, 1937, she married Russell H. Gonser, who died Sept. 9, 1996.
A lifetime area resident, she was a 1937 Nappanee High School graduate. She was a homemaker and a member of First Brethren Church, Nappanee.
Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Warren (Sherrilynn) Brock, Nappanee; Mrs. Will (Loretta) Lewallen, Pine Village; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandsons.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, with Pastor Tom Schiefer officiating. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
Calling is an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
