SYRACUSE – Eleanor Jackson, 92, Leesburg, passed away March 29, 2014. She was born March 30, 1931, in Elwood, and raised by Oscar and Ethel Smith. She was married to John Jackson, who preceded her in death. Living in Kosciusko County most of her life, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid swimmer with a knack for the back float, and a storyteller that always included “it was the funniest thing.” Surviving are two sons, Dale Jackson, Leesburg, and David Jackson, Arizona; a daughter, Diana Morris, Texas; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Daniel Jackson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Eastlund Funeral Home.
