NORTH MANCHESTER - Eldon J. Sincroft, 87, of North Manchester, died at 4:32 a.m. Jan. 11, 2009, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born Aug. 2, 1921, in North Manchester, to Harley and Ethel Cover Sincroft. On Dec. 20, 1941, he married Marjorie L. Lautzenhiser, who survives.
He worked at the former Studebaker Aviation, Fort Wayne, and later was a salesman for the former National Mill Supply Co., Fort Wayne; Manchester Foundry, North Manchester; and Abresist Corp., Urbana. He was a member of United Methodist Church, North Manchester. He graduated from Central High School in 1939, and attended Manchester College.
Also surviving are three sons: William (and spouse Coleena) Sincroft, Leesburg; Ronald Sincroft, North Manchester; and John "Randy" (and spouse Marie) Sincroft, Warsaw; two daughters, Nancy (and spouse Bob) Friddle, Warsaw, and Sherri (and spouse Bill) Trick, Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a sister, Norma Jeanne (and spouse DeWayne) Monce, North Manchester; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, a sister and a grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastors David Overmyer, Larry Ray and J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
