Elbert Louis MortsElbert Louis Morts, 86, Warsaw, died at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Miller’s Merry Manor.
He was born May 12, 1936, in Kosciusko County, to Elberta Gearhart Morts and Vern Maxwell Morts. On May 21, 1966, he married Charlotte Main.
Louie enlisted in the U.S. Army and was inducted April 7, 1959, serving until his honorable discharge on April 4, 1961.
Louie's life will be celebrated at noon on Friday, July 15 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Stacy Downing. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw with military rites conducted by members of the American Legion Post #49 and active duty members of the Army Honor Guard. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 10 a.m. to noon.
