Elaine Korth Loser, 88, Leesburg, passed away at 9:27 a.m. Sept. 13, 2016, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Detroit, Mich., to Emma Carmichael and Raymond Joseph Korth. On May 22, 1970, she married James Edward Loser, who survives in Leesburg. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. She was a graduate of Warsaw High School and attended St. Mary’s College, South Bend, earning her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts. She was a member of Tri-Kappa of St. Mary’s College and Tippecanoe Lake Country Club, Leesburg, and had been an avid bridge player at Tippy and Stonehenge Country Club, Winona Lake. She enjoyed golfing, and loved her home and especially making wonderful memories for her family. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband; two daughters, Allison (and husband Kevin) Robie, Leesburg, and Renie Loser, Warsaw; five grandchildren: Mona, Jason, Ryan, Adrian and Stephanie; eight great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Kathryn Day, Fort Wayne; a brother, Robert (and wife Barbara Ann) Korth, Arizona; and her pets, Benji and Mr. Lucky. She was preceded by her parents and her son, George Day, who died in August 2016. Her funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 125 N. Harrison St., Warsaw, celebrated by Father Phil DeVolder. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
