Eileen L. Niehaus, 85, passed away at 9 p.m. Oct. 17, 2012, in her daughter’s residence.
She was born May 31, 1927, in Goshen, to Orlie and Esther Yoder Gibson. On June 5, 1949, in Millersburg, she married Carl Klotz, who died Sept. 27, 1970. On Oct. 10, 1980, in Leesburg, she married Leon Niehaus, who died July 14, 2012.
She graduated from Millersburg High School in 1946. Living most of her life in Kosciusko County, she was a secretary at Hand Industries for 16 years and worked the farm with her first husband. She was a member of Etna Green Neighborhood Club; was involved in the church choir in Florida; and attended Warsaw Community Church. She loved to line dance, bowl and go for walks.
Surviving are five sons: Stanley (and spouse Patti) Klotz, Bremen; Denny (and spouse Mindy) Klotz, Lynn Klotz and Rick (and spouse Dina) Klotz, all Warsaw; and Brian Klotz, Burke, Va.; two daughters, Debra (and spouse Gary) Smalley, Silver Lake, and Bonnie (and spouse Mark) Koomler, Syracuse; a sister, Geri (and spouse Sheldon) McClain, Syracuse; 27 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Gibson, who died in 1946, and a granddaughter, Carlee Klotz.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Jeff Pfeiffer of Warsaw Community Church. Burial will be in Etna Green Cemetery.
