On Wednesday, Steven Lawrence was sentenced to eight years for child molesting.
Lawrence, 41, of Warsaw, plead guilty Feb. 6 to child molesting, a Class C felony.
Kosciusko County Superior Court 1 Judge Duane Huffer sentenced Lawrence to eight years in the Indiana Department of Corrections with credit for 97 days spent in jail and 97 days good time credit for a total of 194 days.
Per his plea deal, Lawrence’s second count, child molesting, a Class A felony, was dismissed.
With good time credit, Lawrence will spend 3-1/2 years in prison.
Lawrence admitted to molesting a young girl under the age of 14 in August 2010. Lawrence informed police that while his wife was in jail he molested the girl at their home.
