SYRACUSE - It's time to hop on down the bunny trail to the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Lakeside Park, Syracuse, at 11 a.m. Saturday.In case of rain or snow, the hunt will be held at the same time on March 22.
Sponsored by Syracuse Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1342 and the Syracuse Parks and Recreation Department, this free annual event features divided areas for different age groups. Grand-prize winners also will be given for each age group.
Children may participate from toddlers up through fifth grade. Bring a container for the plastic eggs.
After the prizes are given out, there will be refreshments either in the park or inside the Syracuse Community Center, depending on the weather.
Lakeside Park is on Syracuse Lake. From the stoplight at Ind. 13 and Main Street, turn east toward the lake on East Main. Follow the curve of the road to the north. Parking is on the left at the entrance after Washington Street.
Lakeside Park is across the street from the SCC, 1013 N. Long Drive.
