Edwina B. Hayes, 76, of Silver Lake (Hill Lake), died at 8:57 a.m. Sept. 12, 2013, in her residence. She was born April 14, 1937, in Clarksburg, W.Va., to Rosco H. and Jeannette H. Rice Sines. On Nov. 1, 1958, in Marion, she married John M. Hayes, who preceded her in death Dec. 11, 1997. She was a resident of Silver Lake since 1986. She was an office manager for Wabash Wholesale, Logansport. She attended Silver Lake Wesleyan Church. Surviving are a daughter, Lora (and spouse Mark) Sill, Akron; a son, Scott (and spouse Debra) Hayes, Syracuse; two sisters, Toni Decker, Elkhart, and Rita (and spouse Adrian) Messer, Silver Lake; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Rocky Hayes, on June 19, 2011, and an infant grandson. Services will be at a later date.
