Edwin G. "Kash" Kashishian, 92, of 337 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, died at 7:50 a.m. March 23, 2007, at Grace Village, Winona Lake.
He was born Feb. 16, 1915, in Long Beach, Calif., to George Sarkis and Pearl Vahanian Kashishian. In 1937 he married Fern Webber Tompkins, who survives in Warsaw. In 1958, he married Ruth Kennaugh, who preceded him in death.
He was the owner of Kashishian Oriental Rugs, Long Beach, Calif. He lived in Winona Lake since 2005. He was a founding member of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Long Beach.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Tom (Gracia) McDairmant, Warsaw; a son, Jim (and wife Orla) Kashishian, Madrid, Spain; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his second wife Ruth, a great-grandson, Tony LaRue; and two sisters, Marita and Gladys.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Chaplain Glen Byers officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
