Pieper Earns Dean’s List
BLOOMINGTON – Because of his outstanding academic performance during the fall 2012 semester, Taylor Rae Pieper, Leesburg, has been placed on the Indiana University School of Public Health Dean’s List.
Eligibility for the Dean’s List is reserved for those students who complete at least 12 graded credit hours in a single semester, earning at least a 3.8 grade point average.
Taylor, the daughter of Carl and Michele Pieper, is a 2010 Wawasee High School graduate. An I.U. sophomore, she is from North Webster.

Singrey Nominated To Honor Society
BLOOMINGTON – Kelli Singrey, Warsaw, recently was nominated to Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society at Indiana University, Bloomington.
Phi Sigma Theta is a national honor society comprised of undergraduate students who display excellence in academics.
All nominees must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5. Faculty members nominate potential members based on outstanding performance in the classroom.
Kelli is the daughter of Curt and Christy Singrey.

Wawasee Singers Place At Contest
Several Wawasee High School students competed Jan. 26 in the Indiana State School Music Association District Contest at Fairfield High School.
Melodie Jones received a gold rating on her vocal solo in Group 3. The womens vocal ensemble with members Delaney Brooks, Chelsea Cauydill, Megan Goralczyk, Ashley Hoover, Nicole Hurt, Alexis Prescott-Weldy, Kaylin Rogers Ryyan Simmons and Kristin Vance also received gold in group 3.
Receiving a silver rating in Group 1 on their vocal solos were Kaylee Nelson and Kasey Shell.
Advancing to state level in February with gold ratings on their vocal solos in Group 1 at district were Delaney Brooks, McKenzie Hare and Tristan Palmer. The girls trio with member McKenzie Hare, Kasey Shell and Brittany Willis also will advance to state level receiving gold on their trio.
These students represented Wawasee Feb. 16 at the Indiana State School Music Association State contest at Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis.
Receiving a silver rating in Group 1 on their girls trio were Hare, Shell and Willis. Broks also received a silver rating on her solo.
Hare and Palmer received gold ratings on their vocal solos.
