NAPPANEE - Edna M. Yoder, 80, of 8370 N. Ind. 19, Etna Green, died at 6:40 p.m. Sept. 5, 2008, in her residence. She was ill with cancer for four years.
She was born Aug. 6, 1928, in Nappanee, to Menno M. and Fannie J. Miller Kuhns. On Jan. 19, 1950, in Nappanee, she married Edwin J. Yoder, who survives.
She was a lifetime area resident and a member of Old Order Amish Church.
Also surviving are three sons: Omer (and spouse Irene) Yoder, Phoenix, Ariz.; Galen (and spouse Theresa) Yoder, Montgomery; and Stanley (and spouse Anita) Yoder, Etna Green; four daughters: Katherine (and spouse Atlee) Yoder, Middlebury; Laura (and spouse John) Eicher, Wakarusa; and Fannie (and spouse Chris) Yoder and Nancy (and spouse Edward) Miller, all of Nappanee; 39 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; three brothers: John Henry (and spouse Pat) Kuhns, Nappanee; Menno (and spouse Esther) Kuhns, Wisconsin; and Bill (and spouse Carol) Kuhns, Elkhart; and three sisters: Elizabeth (and spouse Albert) Schrock, North Dakota; Leona (and spouse Marvin) Stutzman, Nappanee; and Fannie Mae (and spouse Ralph) Stichter, Wakarusa. She was preceded in death by a son, three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; four brothers and two sisters.
Services were today at the Omar Kauffman residence, 8804 N. Ind. 19, with Bishop Aden Chupp officiating, assisted by Home Ministries. Burial was at Graber Cemetery.
