Edith Hyde, 69, of Warsaw, died at 6:18 p.m. Nov. 24, 2011, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born July 9, 1942, in Benton Harbor, Mich., to George and Vernon McNees Ditton. On April 11, 1964, in Warsaw, she was united in marriage to Jerry Hyde Sr., who survives in Warsaw. A 53-year resident of Kosciusko County, she was a homemaker. Also surviving are a daughter, Annette (and spouse Jeff) Smith, Warsaw; four sons: Don (and spouse Beulah) Ditton, Warsaw, Jerry (and spouse Kim) Hyde Jr., Syracuse, David Hyde, Warsaw, and Terry (and spouse Early) Hyde, Warsaw; two brothers, Robert Ditton Sr., and George Ditton Jr., both of Warsaw; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at noon Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Richard Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
