Edgewood Honors

Posted

The students designed a web site for Edgewood - the first in the Warsaw school system - and finished first out of 11 entries at the state contest.

Five entries looked better and ran better, said computer teacher and club sponsor Richard Rooker, "but ours was the only one where every single keystroke was created by the students." The other entries relied upon programs designed to help create a web site.

Edgewood students have been working since September to learn the language so they could create their own web site, which became active on the Internet in February. Rooker said the web site is "fairly extensive" and is a good tool to reach parents and others involved with the school. The Edgewood site may be seen at http://www.warsaw.k12.in.us/edgewood.
