SYRACUSE - Eddie R. Abbott, 47, of Syracuse, died at 3 p.m. Jan. 14, 2011, in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne.
He was born Jan. 2, 1964, in Anderson, to Ernest Robert and Eula Esther Parmley Abbott. On Feb. 28, 1988, in Elkhart, he married Amy F. Fairfield, who survives.
He graduated in 1982 from Pendleton High School and received an associate's degree from Ivy Tech. He was an engineer at Fairmount Homes, Nappanee, for 12 years and formerly worked at Keystone RV, Goshen.
Also surviving are a daughter, Laini (and spouse Trace) Toten, Panama City, Fla.; three sons: Pierce Abbott, Syracuse; Jason Abbott, Middletown; and Eric Abbott, Muncie; a stepdaughter, Karlie Fairfield (and spouse Timothy) Kilmer, Goshen; six grandchildren; his mother and stepfather, Esther and Ray Davis, Muncie; his father and stepmother, Ernest and Linda Abbott, Anderson; and a brother, Alan Abbott, Osceola.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.
