Ed Kerlin, 82, Warsaw, died at 11:53 a.m. May 29, 2015, at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
He was born July 31, 1932, in Rochester, to Russell and Pearl Hill Kerlin, who preceded him in death. On June 30, 1956, in Zionsville, he married Norma Jean Ryan, who survives.
He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County where he was a 1950 graduate of Silver Lake High School in Silver Lake.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in December 1954.
He worked with the Kerlin Ford Dealership until he established Kerlin Bus Sales of Silver Lake in 1962. He was a member of the American Legion Post #49 of Warsaw, an avid hunter, loved the outdoors and working with equipment, but his greatest love was his family.
He will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Cindy (and spouse Cliff) Zehr, Silver Lake, and Lora (and spouse Ron) Ogden, Roann; four grandchildren: Melanie and Sara Zehr, and Brittany and Emily Ogden; and two brothers, Ted (and spouse Avis) Kerlin, and Kenny Kerlin, all of Silver Lake. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dean Kerlin.
Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, with Pastors Wedstel Shepherd and Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Lake View Cemetery of Silver Lake with full military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #49 and VFW #1126, both of Warsaw, as well as the Indiana ARNG Honor Guard.
Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service   Wednesday.
