Club members of the Echoes of the Past have been busy preparing all of the activities scheduled for the SummerFest Tractor Show & Pull scheduled for Aug. 4-5.
Located at the corner of County Farm Road and CR 700S in Claypool, the free event kicks off at noon on Friday. The tractor pull for Friday will begin at 5 p.m. New to the pull this year is the introduction of a double tree pulling sled.
The Dotsons will also take the stage at 5 p.m. Kids activities, including the tractor driving experience, corn maze and corn pit will be open at noon Friday. The thresher will be running throughout the day, producing the straw necessary for the coin treasure hunt. Tractor churned ice cream will be served at 5 and 8 p.m. Friday.
Saturday’s lineup begins at 7 a.m. with a fundraising breakfast benefitting the Kurt Miller Memorial Fund. The tractor drive will take off at approximately 9:30 a.m. This year will be the first year the tractor drive will be the Kurt Miller Memorial Drive, normally held in September. Donations will be accepted to the fund in his name.
Saturday will feature the garden tractor pull at 1 p.m. with the tractor pull beginning at 5 p.m. The featured band will be the Barrel Scrapers, who will start their performance at 5 p.m. The kids’ activities will begin at noon.
