Editor, Times-Union: Having lived in Southern California for a long time I am used to seeing Mexican food trailers. I see our visitors from the south are slipping into the area pretty fast.
Well, I guess that’s your personal choice of playing Russian Roulette, but why would a very clean Chicago hot dog shop on Winona Avenue called Tommy’s be shut down by the health department? The place appeared so clean you could have eaten off the floor. I attempted to find out why but was never able to get the information from the local health department.
Another subject. I notice at least one new law enforcement vehicle in town. It reminds me of the secret police-style cars in some other countries. All black, heavily tinted windows, as I recall. And a sneaky new “gotcha” light bar on top. No more obvious light bars to give the prey a reasonable chance. Or is the car just an out-of-place pace car for the KGB 500?
Oh yes, the article about the dreaded tattoo shop reminded me of that old Abbot And Costello bit, “Whose On First”. It’s obvious why the businessman put up a sign. The devil made him do it. Why does such a Republican town have such a problem with really small business?
