Easter Poem

As we center on the cross and our Savior fair,
One thing is very evident, love dwelt there.
The love of God for sinful men
The love of Christ, both now and then.
Another thing that is oh so plain,
Is that for us, Christ suffered such cruel pain.
"Father forgive them," He said with dying breath,
And there for our sins, this sinless Christ suffered death.
But the grave could not keep Him bound
And with this fact, yet another truth is found.
That through Christ's suffering at Calvary
He paid sin's price and set us free.
And when we turn away from Him
We put Him through the agony of the cross again.
Have you centered on the cross and Christ?
A free gift for us, but for Him, His blood was the price.
