In its second year, 'Brunch with the Bunny' has grown by approximately 32 attendees over last year.
About 150 children and adults attended the Warsaw Parks & Recreation Dept.'s event in 2008. Saturday, there were at least 182 people at Center Lake Pavilion, including 141 who pre-registered.
"That's a record," said Janelle Wilson, parks department activities director.
Along with the parks department, the event this year was sponsored by Campbell & Fetter Bank and Kohl's.
"It's a good alternative to the egg hunt for families who may want something different," said Wilson.
Ticket prices included a basket and stuffed animal for children ages 3-12 who attended the brunch. Door prizes also were awarded.
The 1-1/2-hour event included a buffet-style breakfast catered by Our Father's House.
"They do all of our catering," said Wilson. A reason the parks department uses Our Father's House for the catering, she said, is because any food left over goes to families in need.
Wilson said people also should look out for the parks department's brochure. It comes out during the first week of May.
