Editor, Times-Union: I was surprised to see quite a few places closed in observance of Easter this past Sunday in Warsaw. I was glad to know there are still some that celebrate that day and believe that our Savior rose from the dead that we can have eternal life through him. Before anyone says I am saying something about working on Sunday, I am not. Some folks have to work on a Sunday and that’s just the way it is. It was just good to see after all the turmoil of the last week concerning religion so many places observing Easter, especially after the attack on Christians in Kenya. We mourn and pray for those who where injured and killed simply because they was Christians and we feel safe here in the USA and think that something like this couldn’t happen here. I am sure that many in Kenya felt the same way. Seems we see Christian persecution almost on a daily basis now but keep the faith for Jesus told us it would come. So I am glad to see that there are businesses that still believe in the resurrection and set aside the almighty dollar for a day to celebrate and give thanks and reverence to a risen Lord and savior. I had a couple fellows who wrote in and said I like to quote scripture. Yep, I guess I do, for I find peace and truth within them. So I will leave you one since you liked the others so well. John 3:16; For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Have a good day and may God bless.
