Early Numbers Show County Census Participation At 42%

Some early numbers are in for participation in this year's Census.
Indiana ranks 12th among states with a 40 percent participation rate as of March 27.
Kosciusko County has a participation rate of 42 percent.
Of the communities in Kosciusko County listed, Leesburg is first with an early participation rate of 56 percent.
Silver Lake is currently last in the county with a participation rate of 28 percent. Milford has a participation rate of 32 percent.
Warsaw is currently at 43 percent.
Other towns in the county and their participation rates are as follows:
Burket - 53 percent
Claypool - 35 percent
Etna Green - 43 percent
Mentone - 51 percent
Milford - 32 percent
North Webster - 49 percent
Pierceton - 41 percent
Silver Lake - 28 percent
Sidney - 45 percent
Syracuse - 47 percent
Winona Lake - 48 percent
Residents are encouraged to fill out and mail in their 10-question census forms.
April 1 is National Census Day.
