Early Morning Crash

Winona Lake Town Marshal Paul Schmidt responded to a two-vehicle collision at CR 250 E. and Pierceton Road, Wiona Lake, at 8:06 a.m. today.
Gus Katris, 78, of 2861 E. Turnberry Road, Winona Lake, driving a Honda sedan, failed to yeild to Lorna Clark, 2693 E. Forest Circle, Leesburg.
Katris was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for chest pains. Both drivers suffered minor injuries from air bag deployment.
Katris told Schmidt that he thought Clark was turning, but Clark said that she thought Katris did not look her way before turning onto Pierceton Road.
