AKRON - Earl Edward Steininger, 58, of 8523 W. CR 1275S, Akron, died at 8 a.m. Dec. 6, 2008, in his residence.
He was born Oct. 29, 1950, in Rochester, to Calvin Edwin and Alice Lucille Moore Steininger, who survive. On June 14, 1969, in North Manchester, he married Mary Jo Coldren, who survives.
Moving to the Akron area from Fulton 38 years ago, he was a farmer and millwright. He was a 1969 Rochester High School graduate and a member of North Central Antique Tractor Pullers Association.
Also surviving are four children, Julie Anne (and spouse Terry) Moore, Macy, and Kimberly Sue (and spouse Donald Jr.) Caudill, Chad Edward (and spouse Judy) Steininger and Mellisa Kay Steininger, all of Akron; seven grandchildren: Joshua Allen, Christopher Earl and Jordan Michael Moore, all of Macy; Chelsea Lenea, Dereck Allen and Nicholas Ryan Caudill and Jonathan Calvin Steininger, all of Akron; two sisters, Ruth Elizabeth (and spouse George) Hoff, Akron, and Patty Lou Shafer, Fulton; and a brother, Junior Forest Steininger, North Manchester. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Sherman and Richard Calvin Steininger; a sister, Barbara Lucille Steininger; and a daughter, Nicole Lee Steininger.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Earl-Love Funeral Home, 811 E. Rochester St., Akron, with Rick Baber officiating. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
